our engagement shoot

We've asked our dear friend Lei and Randy to cover our engagement shoot. We thought that instead of paying for a prenuptial shoot in Manila when we get home next year, we'll opt to just have it here in Chicago with the help of our talented friends. Not only it's free, we can let them know how we want the shoot to feel and we'll be more comfortable posing in front of the camera.

We did the shoot last Saturday, May 22nd. I did my own hair and make-up for the shoot. Since we lived here, grooming is one thing that we both learned. Well, more grooming and prepping that we're accustomed to back in Manila. Anyway back to the shoot, we met at Joni's place in Belmont and then she dropped us off at Millennium Park. I think we have spent more than 4 hours roaming around Millennium and Grant Park for the shoot. Posing and smiling for the camera is harder that it looks. It's tough to be a star, even for just a day. We ended the day with dinner at Sushi Mon and cupcakes for dessert at Molly's.
